Description
The 1999 vintage was characterised by a favourable climate in the Ribera del Duero, with a cold and rainy winter followed by a warm spring and a dry summer. These conditions allowed for an even ripening of the grapes, resulting in a high quality harvest. The vineyards from which this wine comes are located on clayey and calcareous soils, at altitudes above 800 metres, which gives excellent concentration and complexity to the grape.
Is made using a traditional winemaking process. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with temperature control to preserve the fruity aromas. The wine is then aged for 24 months in American and French oak barrels, followed by bottle ageing for at least two years before being released to the market. This long ageing process gives the wine a characteristic depth and complexity, with well-integrated tannins and great structure.
This is a wine that reflects the greatness of the Ribera del Duero and the meticulous care that has gone into its production. It is a complex wine, with character and elegance, ideal for those who appreciate mature and well-structured red wines, offering an excellent opportunity to enjoy the expression of a historic vintage in the Ribera del Duero.
