Description
Viña Pedrosa Gran Reserva 2001 is a high-quality red wine produced by the Hermanos Pérez Pascuas winery in the prestigious region of Ribera del Duero, Spain.
Wine Characteristics:
Grape Varieties: Mainly Tinta del País (Tempranillo), with possible minor contributions from other varieties authorized in the D.O.
Production Process: The grapes are meticulously selected by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. The wine ages in oak barrels (predominantly French and American) for approximately 24 months, followed by a refining in the bottle that can extend several years before its release to the market.
Color: Deep ruby red with garnet reflections, indicating its maturity.
Aroma: Complex and elegant aromas that combine ripe black fruits (blackberries, plums) with notes of spices, leather, tobacco and balsamic touches. There are also nuances of well-integrated wood due to its prolonged aging in barrels.
Taste: In the mouth it is powerful, with a solid structure and silky, well-integrated tannins. It has excellent acidity that provides freshness. The flavors are rich and complex, with a predominance of ripe black fruits, spices, cocoa, and oak notes that add depth. The finish is long and persistent, with an elegant aftertaste.
Pairing: Perfect to accompany red meats, game, roasts, lamb dishes, and cured cheeses.
